High school football teams from around the Natural State punch their ticket to state championship games



LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Friday night, high school football teams from around the Natural State punched their ticket to the 2024 State Championship.

Teams from four classifications competed for their spot in the state title game which will be at War Memorial Stadium. Next week teams from 4A and 3A will decide who goes to the State Championship, which will be held at the stadium Dec. 14.

‘All in’ Lakeside High School football team honors teammate’s father killed in motorcycle crash

In 7A, the Bryant Hornets beat the Pulaski Academy Bruins 41-7. They will meet up with the Bentonville Tigers who beat the Conway Wampus Cats 36-34.

The 6A Shiloh Christian Saints won over the Benton Panthers 45-32 and will meet up with the Greenwood Bulldogs who shut out the Mountain Home Bombers 42-0.  

Farmington, Morrilton combine for 23 touchdowns in record-setting high school football game

In 5A, the Parkview Patriots beat the Valley View Blazers 44-14, scheduling a showdown with the Farmington Cardinals for the title after their 59-55 win over the Lakeside Rams.

The Conway Christian Eagles clinched a spot in the 2A finals with a 25-21 win over the Junction City Dragons. They will meet the East Poinsett County Warriors who beat the Mount Ida Lions 54-33.

Fordyce High School football team supporting their community by being ‘Fordyce Strong’

Next week, the State Championships will kick off with the 8-man championship between the Midland Mustangs and Strong Bulldogs Thursday Dec. 5.

On Friday, the 2A game will be held at noon and the 5A game will happen at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday at noon, the 6A championship game will kick off and the weekend will culminate with the 7A game at 6:30 p.m.
