Fearless 40: Pine Bluff Zebras
Last season was a tough one for the Zebras, failing to make the playoffs with a 4-6 record after capturing a conference title in 2023.
This year, Pine Bluff will have a younger core, with several freshmen and sophomores set to take the field.
Head Coach Michael Williams said he is aiming for the team’s chemistry to be on point.
“I told the kids that if you’re not going to gel or mesh with the team, then you’re not going to be part of the team,” Williams said. “This year we actually have leaders in the locker room helping that chemistry part.”
“Being together through wins and losses, being together no matter what,” senior running back & linebacker Kevin Pope said. “We’re trying to build a team full of love, instead of hate.”
