Fearless Friday Super 7 Softball Rankings (4/21/2025)

By Kyle Sutherland
Despite falling short by two runs to consensus national No. 1 Melissa (Texas), Bentonville proved it belonged among the nation’s elite on Saturday. That was also the third game the Tigers played last week after conquering No. 2 Springdale Har-Ber and No. 4 Rogers.
Benton has separated itself thus far in 5A, but after that it’s hard to get a grasp on who will be their top challenger. Spots two thru five saw some movement as Greenwood bumps up to No. 2 having won 12 of their past 13 games, while Sheridan and Beebe look to bounce back after enduring some tough moments last week. Greene County Tech is beginning to look like the team we thought they could be and have a huge 5A-East series against Valley View on Tuesday. The Eagles have won nine in a row, including taking a ranked non-conference matchup over Maumelle last Thursday.
4A is very similar to 5A in that the No. 1 team, Pea Ridge, is the for certain best squad in the class right now following a convincing win over rival and second-ranked Gentry. Monticello is one that seems to be heating up at the right time, as is Brookland, but after that it’s tough to gauge especially having some of the results we saw last week.
Not much changed in 3A minus Baptist Prep entering the Outside Looking In as the Eagles replace Conference 5 foe Atkins after the Red Devils fell to Glen Rose. Same story for 2A as Cutter-Morning Star, who clinched at least a share of the 2A-7 regular season title with a win over Foreman, makes its first appearance on the Outside Looking In.
There was also not any change in 1A, but Scranton did solidify its status as having an argument to be the state’s top team in the smallest classification after soundly defeating West Side Greers Ferry.
