Fearless 40: Searcy Lions

After three consecutive seasons averaging just four wins, the Searcy Lions posted their first winning season since winning a state title back in 2019.

For the 2024 season, Searcy drops down to Class 5A, a level they haven’t played since 2001. The biggest piece they will have to replace is all-state quarterback Ty Strickland, who graduated after throwing over 2200 passing yards and 23 touchdowns last season.

Senior quarterback, Johnny Bell, was Stricklands’ backup for two seasons and is now ready to take up the reins.
