Fearless Friday Super 7 Softball Rankings (3/24/2025)

By Kyle Sutherland
Spring break has arrived, as has – if you can believe it – the halfway point of the 2025 softball season. Many teams will take the week off to unwind, but some will still be hitting the field to get some games in.
The 6A top-ranked Bentonville Lady Tigers will be off after sweeping the Ozark Classic with three shutouts. West Conference foes Springdale Har-Ber and Rogers will continue chasing defending state champion Bentonville as contenders, while 2023 champion Bryant has entered the early mix out of the Central League.
Benton seems to have separated itself early in Class 5A after a successful weekend at the Farmington Tournament in which the Lady Panthers swept their three-game slate. White Hall jumped Vilonia for the final spot in the Super 7 after taking home the Red Division of the Blazer Blast. The Lady Bulldogs have won five-straight games and may be the squad that could possibly challenge defending state champion Sheridan for the South Conference title.
There was not much learned in Class 4A last week that is not already known, or assumed, at this point. It is hard to bet against Top 2 4A-1 squads, No. 1 Pea Ridge and No. 2 Gentry after what the top half of that conference has proven over the past two seasons, but this class appears to be as wide open as any right now.
Many of the teams in 3A are some who will benefit from rest this week as some of their records are mostly just results of challenging schedules. No. 3 Harding Academy is one team playing and will face stiff competition in the Gulf Shores Tournament, including consensus Top 15 nationally-ranked Orange Beach (Ala.).
Class 2A has really impressed; Hackett, Quitman, Woodlawn and Des Arc have shown what they can do at their best, while Tuckerman continues to win and Carlisle has looked good even in some tight losses. 2023 state champion and 2024 runner-up Riverside has gotten off to a slow start, but this 2025 senior class has proven too much to give up on the Lady Rebels this early. Also, on the Outside Looking In East Poinsett County and Hector have a combined record of 14-2.
Finally, in Class 1A as you have heard for years it is Taylor’s class until someone proves otherwise. While that is still true, last year’s runner-up Scranton, plus West Side (Greers Ferry) – as well as recent dark horse Concord – are looking to go on strong runs in the back half of the season and challenge the Lady Tigers for the ultimate crown.
