FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Football is in the air in Fort Smith as the Battle of Rogers Avenue returns as the Game of the Week!
Fort Smith Southside is on the road Friday night as they take on the in-city rivals at Fort Smith Northside.
Southside has led the rivalry in the last two decades winning 12 of the previous 21 games in the series.
The Mavericks snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Grizzlies last year with a 42-35 win at Jim Rowland Stadium. Prior to that streak, Southside won 12 in a row in the series from 2006 to 2015.
