Week 8 Review
October 27, 2016

1.Springdale Har-Ber lost to No. 4 Fayetteville, 28-0
Andrew Ellis recovered two fumbles, including one in the end zone for a touchdown, and intercepted a pass to lead the mild upset of the top-ranked Wildcats. Taylor Powell threw a touchdown pass to Barrett Banister, and ran for a touchdown. Dan Hinton added a 5-yard touchdown run. Fayetteville’s defense allowed just 247 yards as Har-Ber was shutout at home for the first time in its 10-year existence.

2.North Little Rock defeated No. 8 Fort Smith Northside, 35-28
North Little Rock stopped Northside inches shy of a first down near midfield with 3:10 left and the game tied, Trey Cox scored the decisive touchdown on a 6-yard touchdown run. Alex Day added 182 yards and two touchdowns on the ground for the Charging Wildcats.

3.Bentonville defeated Rogers, 49-7
Canaan Ross threw four touchdown passes, and Kam’Ron Mays-Hunt caught six passes for 160 yards and touchdowns of 4, 75 and 42 yards. Bentonville piled up 554 yards of offense, including 262 on the ground and 292 through the air.

5.Greenwood defeated Benton, 41-25
The fast-paced Bulldogs had 85 plays for 475 yards in wiping out an early 7-0 deficit with 31 straight points. Luke Hales threw a pair of touchdown passes to Peyton Holt and Josh Barlow, and ran for two scores.

6.Pulaski Academy defeated Little Rock Parkview, 55-13
Layne Hatcher threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns, and Jaren Watkins ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns.

7.Cabot lost to Bryant, 48-20
Ren Hefley, the transfer from Pulaski Academy, threw for 303 yards and four touchdowns, including passes of 24 and 67 yards to Reece Coates, a move-in from Pocahontas. Madre Dixon returned a fumble 31 yards for a touchdown.

9.Russellville defeated Texarkana, 45-28
Cale Fulsom threw for 243 yards and touchdowns to three different receivers, and Josiah Woodard added 109 yards and touchdown gallops of 31 and 61 yards.

10.Pine Bluff defeated Marion, 44-42
Simeon Blair threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns, including a 62-yard touchdown pass to Jyrimee Thompson late. Blair then completed the two-point pass.
